Scott and Paddy thank you for your help!

Today, We closed on our house.

Thank you to everyone who helped make this possible. We have a home, thanks to you. I still have a hard time believing we had $0 when we started, and between your help, our hard work, and the blessings of God, we came up with $25,000 for our downpaymetn.

May God, in whatever form the Divine takes for you, bless you and keep you.

See Update 4 below! We've been told our landlord would like to move back into his house. He wants to move on June 15th.

We've put an offer in on a house. It's perfect. You can see pictures here.

Our problem is that we haven't got a downpayment saved up. I was hoping to have at least 6 months of two incomes to save it up. Events have forced our hand.

We can still raise a lot of the money ourselves. We're selling heirlooms, asking family, even looking at selling the car.

We need the help of our friends. If everyone I know donated $20, we'd be set.

If you've come to this site, you've been given the link directy via some form of communication. I'm not publishing this on social media except by private message.

Please, if you can, donate $20 to the fund. If you can't, please consider any amount, and pass it around. If you've every considered how nice it would be to have a permanent space, if you've ever read anything I've written or enjoyed any of our conversations, please consider dropping us a few dollars, so we can relieve our minds and have a place of our own.

Update 4 5/12/2015: We made it! One wonderful person gave us $1000, and one wonderful person gave us $10,000! We currently have $22,942 needed of $25,000! We are able to raise the rest from our salaries and other miscellaneous sales.

We can't thank you all enough for your help. Without you all, we would not have been able to manage this. Forty four people responded to our request, bringing us a whopping $13,000! We literally could not have done this without all of you. I'll be sending out thank you notes as time goes on, but please accept the blanket thank you all.

Update 3 4/15/2015: The landlord gave us the offical 60 day notice, so our last day at the current place is June 15th. The good news is we're raisng a lot of money thanks to you all, the bad news is we're still a long ways from $25,000, and we need to get it by May 15th so the financing can move forward. 30 days, $16,400 to go! We've raised 35%, we need about $546/day to get us there! Please, give us a hand, any amount helps!

Update 2 4/10/2015: You folks are the best! We've raised over $7000 towards our total, and that's a combination of your generous efforts and our own skrimping and saving.

We're now almost 3/10 of the way there. Still a long ways to go, but getting closer all the time. Thank you all so much for your help, and please keep thinking of us!

Update 1: You guys are awesome! We're 1/10 of the way there. Slowly but surely we're getting the money together that we need.

We've moved up to needing to have all the money dialed in by May 15th for the closing on May 29th, so we have less time and more urgency! Please keep us in mind if you find you have an extra couple bucks. We're getting closer!
